Dear Neighbor,
We all say we believe in good government, one that reflects the values of the people. But whether Democrat, Republican, or Independent, whether ACLU members or Tea Party members, we’ve collectively allowed an unresponsive State government to incrementally absorb taxpayer and local decision-making power. I seek office because I am afraid we have a state government that no longer serves us.
One only needs to look at the state of our state to know this is true: insider-deals like 38 Studios, last place in virtually all economic measures, crumbling infrastructure, failing schools, families broken apart as children move away to find jobs — and no accountability for these shortcomings. We are better than this – and our duty to elect officials who put the citizens first has never been more critical.
We need new energy, new ideas and a new voice. I pledge to always keep you in mind — to make sure when I vote it will be for the betterment of our community.
I believe we can work together and renew Rhode Island as a place where dreams can be achieved, where honesty and integrity count, and where we succeed on merit, not on who we know. Our government must be restored to one that serves the people. I have the energy, courage, independence and ideas that will make a difference.
Very truly yours,
